25. Alexander Hamilton: The Germ of Statism


All of the nonsense politically astute Americans are accustomed to, can be traced back to Alexander Hamilton. The federal reserve, high taxes, and our $20 trillion debt, are all echoes of his ideas. Our omnipotent executive, weakened state sovereignty and bloated judiciary all began as ideas in this man's mind.



In order to shed light on how he became the antithesis of liberty, we trace Hamilton's story from his unpleasant childhood on the Caribbean island of Nevis to his infamous duel with Aaron Burr in New Jersey.
