30. What's the libertarian position on Sharia law?

Though sharia law is commonly vilified in media outlets as being brutal and antiquated - if participation is voluntary, should we care? What is it anyhow? How does it compare with the laws that our enemy, the state, subjects us to? Finally, how should we, as libertarians - feel about Sharia law?

Will Coley, Imam at the MALIC Center and former, libertarian vice-presidential candidate, joins us to shed light on the issue as well as the relationship between Islam and liberty. You may be surprised (as I was) to learn of the inherent relationship between Islam and individualism or of sharia's foundation in the protection of property rights.
